1. Purpose of the job:
The gear engineer runs in production department continuously optimizing the production processes of gear machining related under his responsibility. He also works on troubleshooting with the process engineer and relevant support.
2. Major accountabilities:
2.1. Executing the designing requirements:
He organize production on production plan.
He integrates quality control actions in the organization of labor.
He assists the deputy manager, head of department, in realizing the dept’s ives and KPI targets (safety, quality, output, on time delivery and cost.)
2.2. Troubleshooting processes/helpdesk
He analyzes Quality Deficiency Reports searching for methods to detect possible deficiencies in production processes and takes initiatives to remediate.
He organizes an efficient Helpdesk function for the production cells under his responsibility so that questions coming from the shop floor can be addressed and/or answered within shortest time possible.
